Hassan Allam Properties (HAP) is the real estate development arm of Hassan Allam Holding, one of the largest and most prestigious economic empires in Egypt and the Arab world. The family's history in this field spans over 90 years, transforming from a small family contracting company into a giant conglomerate housing 18 subsidiaries.

History of Hassan Allam

  • 1936 (Foundation): Businessman Hassan Mohamed Allam established Hassan Mohamed Allam Construction Company, starting his journey as a general contractor.

  • 1938 (The Turning Point): He gained the state's trust following King Farouk's car accident, securing the contract to build Al-Qassasine Hospital, followed by major infrastructure projects and power plants.

  • 1961 (Nationalization Phase): The company was fully nationalized under President Gamal Abdel Nasser and renamed "Al-Nasr General Contracting," while the family continued to manage it under the chairmanship of Hassan Allam.

  • 1972 (Rebirth): Hassan Allam founded a new private sector entity under the name Hassan Allam & Sons Construction Company (HAC) following changes in the investment environment.

  • 1999 - 2000 (Launch of Real Estate Arm): Mohamed Allam (a member of the third generation of the family) established Hassan Allam Properties (HAP) as an independent entity separate from contracting activities, with a vision focused on building integrated and luxury urban communities.
